Jenn is awesome! I've never been a big runner but started to get into it a bit last summer but then my foot started to bother me. I thought it was plantar fasciitis and took rest and NSAIDs without relief. Tried 3 different shoes still no relief, just have random extra shoes in closet... Then a couple of friends told me about Jenn. I'm usually very skeptical about 'holistic' medicine but I went to see her (mostly because I was convinced that if i saw an orthopedic surgeon, I would end up with a surgery and I didn't want that). She noticed that my L foot didn't have quite as much of an arch as the R foot. She did a fair amount of myofascial manipulation (some of it was quite unpleasant) and by the end of the session my arch was back! I was back running and haven't had any problems since. I saw her a couple more scheduled times but Jenn just had me come back if anything comes up. The thing that I was most impressed with Jenn was that she basically 'fired' me as a patient since I didn't need her help any more, instead of just continuing to have me come back and charge.
Overall, I would definitely recommend her (and I have already to numerous friends) to anyone that has a specific musculoskeletal issue.

I am a 62-year old woman who had chronic plantar fasciitis and peroneal tendon injury/weakness. Three rounds of physical therapy, shoe inserts, chiropractic, and various specialists brought no relief. Finally, I turned to Rolfing and found Jenn. She has addressed my total body alignment as well as specific issues with my foot and ankle.
Within the first few treatments I experienced relief from pain and an ability to do more walking. Unlike chiropractic adjustments, the Rolfing adjustments are stable. Jenn was able to build on past improvements in alignment at each visit resulting in improved body alignment overall and definite, long lasting improvement with my foot and ankle. Jenn's deeper, holistic understanding of the total body system in addition to her accurate, strong technique have restored my freedom of movement and eliminated my foot/ankle pain. I strongly recommend her services!

I'm a 34 year old woman who was involved in a motorcycle accident 3.5 years ago. The trauma left me with a spinal cord injury, incomplete paraplegia & the instrumentation of 2 rods & 8 screws in my back. Since then, I've been continuing to work with numerous health care professionals who've helped me with my physical & functional rehabilitation. Some of these professional services include: physiatry, massage, chiropractics, physiotherapy, reflexology & acupuncture. Recently, however, I discovered Jenn & her rolfing services and I was astounded by her ability to quickly & accurately complete an assessment. More importantly, within the first treatment, I experienced a significant change in the quality & efficiency of my walking abilities.
Over the next several treatment sessions, Jenn continued to work on multiple areas of my body, including areas that had not ever been addressed even once by any of the other health care professionals I had seen. After just 3 sessions with Jenn, the quality of my walking improved so much that the next day, for the very first time since my accident, I was able to go hiking without my cane. More so, I was able to do so...with minimal pain! To my great surprise, the effects of Jenn's rolfing treatment session have been maintained, even after 5 weeks! I am now a strong believer of the benefits of rolfing & I look forward to another session with Jenn.

Jenn worked with my teenaged daughter with scoliosis and was wonderful! Her warm presence and genuine interest immediately put my daughter at ease. Each session resulted in more mobility, freer breathing, and less pain. Jenn's incredibly knowledgeable about the body and committed to helping her clients feel more comfortable and happy in theirs. She offered in-depth descriptions of what was going on as a result of the scoliosis and suggestions for various exercises and activities to do between sessions, giving my daughter a lasting understanding of how she functions and how she could help herself function better. We miss Jenn a lot!

I was referred to Jenn by another reviewer and I have to agree that she is awesome! I am a nurse and mommy to two little boys and I have suffered with hip and lower back pain for years. After having baby number two, I developed groin pain that was interfering with work and with my workouts at the gym. I had tried PT, chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture in the last few years, without much relief. After hearing what great things Jenn had done for my friend, I decided to give rolfing a try. After our initial appointment I felt instant relief of my lower back pain. Each session, we work on one troubled area or another; sometimes the change is subtle and sometimes very obvious. An added benefit is my increased awareness of posture and movement, which simply compounds the positive effect of Jenn's work. If you have chronic pain, definitely give Jenn a try!

I had surgery on my hip for labral tears and was left with scar tissue that inhibited my range of motion and created brand "new" pain in my hip. Jennifer Soon was able to work on my hip and work out the "kinks" of the scar tissue. Jenn is very thorough and I am extremely happy that she has been able to pinpoint and relieve the pain in my hip! Jenn's rolfing is effective, but non-invasive!!!! I would recommend to anyone that has chronic pain, give rolfing a try - and let Jenn be the person to introduce you to it!!!

I have always been a very active person except for the past 8 years due to some minor surgeries and the setbacks they provide. I knew I had back problems since my early 20's but it wasn't until my 40's that I started to see a chiropractor. Relief was only temporary, so I went to 3 other chiropractors over the years in search of a pain free back. I had heard about Rolfing in the early 70's and I knew it was what I needed but didn't know how to find a Rolfer or if I could afford one. I was finally introduced to Rolfing several months ago, but not before a rheumatologist told me to take up to 9 Advils a day for my pain. There was nothing he could do for the herniated discs, the degenerative discs or the scoliosis I had. My right hip was markedly lower than my left and I always thought I had a leg length discrepancy.
My first visit actually almost leveled my hips and by the second session the SI joint pain, that was the most painful of all my back troubles, was gone completely and has not returned even months later. Sometimes the sessions can be a little intense, almost like a very deep tissue massage, but generally they are tolerable. Always better than a nagging back ache that impacts your everyday activities.
I feel very fortunate to have found Rolfing because I have been able to exercise again, including weight lifting and yoga. And the best thing is I've only had to take 2 Advils in 4 months!! It has given me my active life back that I missed so much!
Thank you Jenn. For such a little girl you have very strong fingers!!

I have been very active all of my life – skiing, backpacking, kayaking, rafting, marathon running, triathlons, yoga. As I’ve crossed 50 with extensive work travel and responsibilities along with family needs; I have settled mostly into running, yoga and swimming. I’ve had trouble with my feet and legs off and on most of my adult life.
I had a running injury to my foot that kept me from running for a year. I went to two podiatrists that gave me very different treatments and recommendations. A friend at work suggested I go see Jenn and try Rolfing as it had really helped him when other avenues of treatment had failed. I had heard of Rolfing for years and had even had it recommended but never tried it. I had about four sessions with Jenn and am back to running pain free for almost a year now. My feet and legs have flexibility that I have never had before. Now when I try to “feel all four corners of my feet” – I am able to as I never could before. Besides just the treatment; Jenn gave me great advice on how to incorporate running back into my workouts. As an avid athlete herself; she always worked with me to keep me exercising in a way that promoted healing.
I don’t profess to understand exactly what she does but it works. She has a way of viewing the body holistically and viewing and treating areas I never would have thought were connected to get everything functioning pain-free.

My surgeon, seemingly perplexed by my second visit in one year said, ‘Mel, the X-rays look good. I can’t see any reason why you should have pain.” With that he gave me a prescription for yet an additional physical therapy appointment and sent me on my way. My left hip had been replaced twice in four years. Nine months later I was still plagued by chronic pain in both hips. Piercing groin pain that shot down my thigh accompanied every sudden movement.
This was not a place where a 58 year old who was otherwise in great shape liked to be. Prior to the surgeries I spent a lot of time going through physical fitness routines at the local YMCA. I also played basketball and tennis. Even between the operations I did weight training. I desperately searched the internet for alternative therapies. I had never heard of Rolfing, but I serendipitously happened upon a video of a session. The unique techniques caught my interest, so I looked for a local practitioner. I found Jenn.
I walked out of the first session with her feeling less pain than I felt in five years. In addition, my mobility was tremendously enhanced. I left my limp at the door. Jenn’s office was my place to be for another nine sessions. Each session brought added mobility and diminished pain. I have returned to the basketball and tennis courts without the need to return to Jenn. My experience borders on the miraculous. Rolfing has been my new lease on life. Thanks, Jenn.

I spent 6 weeks, 3 nights a week for over an hour each time, in physical therapy for "tight I.T. bands," which were causing considerable swelling to my knee, without much relief. After an insurance glitch required me to provide additional proof of need, I skipped out on that experience and found Jenn. Wow-wee! She put the kibosh to my knee situation in less than 10 sessions. That was 3 years ago.
Since then, we've moved onto various and sundry other issues as they've arisen: an almost crippling pain in my foot, which a doctor would probably say was plantar fasciitis (a common affliction among runners), gone; "tennis elbow," gone; and currently burning nerve pain in my hand, which seems to be coming from my deltoids. Whenever I have unexplained discomfort somewhere in my body, I schedule a Rolfing session. Just so you know, however, the sessions do embody the mantra, "No pain, no gain" (but "no worries" either).

As a piano player a severed ulnar nerve of my right arm in 1979 at the age of 26 was a terrible blow. At the time the nerve was reconnected thru micro surgery and was deemed highly successful for the times. However, it took many years for the nerve to regenerate down my arm to my hand. During this time muscles atrophied and my hand became weak.
By 1994, for the first time, I felt I could really play the piano again but it did not take much playing, 5 minutes, before my hand would spasm and contract. This started me looking for a solution. Traditional hand therapy, Prolotherapy and chiropractics were of minimal help. It was not until I met Jennifer Soon and Rolfing that I have experienced real benefits. Yes, Rolfing has greatly reduced the spasms and contractions and allows me to play over 1 hour in full playing mode!! Thank You, Jennifer.
