How I got here

I found Rolfing when I had lower back issues that limited my movement and left me in pain. I was in physical therapy for 3 months and not improving. A chiropractor I had been seeing referred me to a Rolfer when I found no relief from other forms of bodywork.

I had a microdiscectomy in college from a herniated disc which was causing sciatic pain. Apparently, the scar tissue from the surgery was causing restrictions in my connective tissue (which the Rolfer referred to as Fascia). I went through the ten series and as my body alignment was starting to restore, I felt lighter, more mobile and more upright in my body - and in life as well.

I love to be active - ski, tennis, yoga, kayak, rock climb, salsa, tango, tai chi (almost anything you throw at me, really) - and understand how not feeling at ease in our bodies can hold us back from activities we enjoy. Simple things that usually wouldn't stress us out become overwhelming, affecting our emotional and mindful state of being.

I have been a Rolfer since 2008 and my goal is to help you restore fluidity in your body, find your alignment, and help YOU move more effortlessly through life. I would highly recommend trying a Rolfing session with a practitioner in your area whether it be to enhance your performance as a competitive athelete, to feel relief from pain patterns, improve movement and gain more mobility, or to feel length and lightness in your stride again, it's worth your time!
